Super Why: Super Readers To The Rescue Salina Yoon   Released: March 4th, 2010 My 59th book for 2026 was Salina Yoon’s Super Why: Super Readers To The Rescue.   I was working the other day, and one of my individuals has noticed that I enjoy reading.  He has started to ask me to read to him.  We read several of the other Fly Guy books a little while ago.  He found some books based on his favorite TV show and had me read them to him.  As a result, I added them to the reading list.  After all, it's a book, and if it encourages a younger reader to check it out, or even their parent reading this to get it for them, then it's worth it. This book is an introduction to the Super Why! show.  It covers all the main characters, what their superpowers are, and what they are capable of.  It's great for those new to the show and trying to figure out who each character is and what they do. Here is what I learned : ————— Super Why has the Power ...

Book #189: The Secret Three by Mildred Myrick

Image
The Secret Three By Mildred Myrick   Released: January 1st, 1963 My 55th book for 2026 was Mildred Myrick’s The Secret Three.   This was one of my favorite books growing up.    Mark goes to stay with Billy at the beach.  They find a message inside a bottle from a boy named Tom on the island.  They respond to him and agree to form a club called The Secret Three who meet on Tuesdays.  They attend the first meeting, and they enjoy the company of one another. I got this book from the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Library in Waynesboro, PA.  It had to have been 1993/1994.  I remember getting my very own copy of it for Christmas that year.  I read it nearly every year up until Middle School.  It always had a special place in my heart.  Sadly, when I was going through my old stuff in California, PA, I stumbled across my original copy of this book, but it had severe mold damage. I was super interested in the numbers code the boys ...
