Book #5: Pip Comes Home
Gwen Davies
Released: May 11th, 2022
[Blogger’s Note: I originally read this back in 2022, and just updated for the current blog format. Enjoy!]
My 5th book for 2022 was Gwen Davies’ “Dog Tails: Pip Comes Home".
One of my friends is an author, and once I heard that she had written a book, I had to check it out.
When I talked to her, she would tell me all sorts of stories about Pip and the excitement he causes in her life. It’s precious.
This book is about how her dog came to be with his owners. (Art imitates life). It is brief but a good short book for younger readers.
The book is available on the Kindle, or for a physical copy, you can purchase one here: https://a.co/d/aqMoo65
Here is what I learned:
—————
- Pip has wanted a home and a family since he was a pup.
- Pip is from Ohio.
- Carol was Pip’s foster mom.
- “Looking for a good family: a young dog named Pip.”
- Gwen and Shawn live in Buffalo.
- Pip travels to his new home in a van.
- Pip now lives in New York.
—————
Overall, it is a cute little short story. It introduces younger readers to pet adoption and shows how animals can be rescued into loving homes.
Recommended, especially for younger readers and animal lovers.
On to Book #6: A Court Of War And Ruin by Sarah J. Maas.
